If I had to bet, the bell hops aren’t the only ones looking to avenge a loss last year. Lest we forget, our fumble on the goal line in OT during the regular season was a heartbreaker and I believe cost us a share of the conference title.

Plus, MA doesn’t usually have a problem getting our boys up for this game, no matter what it’s for....should be a slobber-knocker

There were a pair of slobberknockers last year with those guys. The second game wasn't nearly as the final score indicated. We knew from the beginning this was a big game; and then the next one will be even bigger. One at a time, each being huge.

Important for the OL to continue plowing ahead vs. El Cid; then, Samford, next, etc.

Statistically they match up very well with us. We need to continue our focus of doing our best, for each other.

We always seem to play very well down in Chucktown. That gives me confidence. But we still have to bring our A game down there or else.

I didn't do an in-depth statistical breakdown of this game, because the teams are too similar.

One difference I would highlight is that over the course of the last 5 games, our offense has steadily improved (possibly because we've played less-tough competition defensively), while Citadel's has declined (for the inverse reason).

They are going to want to reverse that trend and they will be more than capable. Turnovers will be the key more than anything else. If we break even with the turnover battle, I think we win by no more than 10 points. If we win the turnover battle, we win by 14-17. If we lose the turnover battle, we could lose.

I think we should be favored as the above suggests, but the outcome I think hinges on turnovers. If there are no turnovers, I think we win 17-10. My expectation is 24-10 as Citadel has worse turnover problems than us.

It is fun to see Colton stepping forward and being a difference maker. http://www.goupstate.com/sports/2017101 ... pportunity

Mason Alstatt is looking much more aware also.

Alstatt needs to get a little bigger and stronger. He will be a force when he does.

Both Colton and Mason played their best games as a Terrier to date IMO. And that bodes extremely well for the WOFFORD defense. I’m proud as can be for Colton, who has battled his 4 years to get his shot, and is making it count. Also one of my sons close friend and roommate. Proud of ya Colton!!!

Think about how good that linebacker recruiting class’s was with Colton, Michael Roach and John Patterson all in the same
Class. That’s getting it done on the recruiting trail.

Chuck Rouse has quietly but surely had a heckuva year too. With his size and experience, may get a look down the line.

Let’s go you Short Haired Dogs. Time to lock in and prepare to play your most complete game of the year. No penalties, no turnovers. High levels of execution, discipline and motivation. Conquer & Prevail.
