MA said he likes where we are at right now.
Was there tonight. Roo is in a knee immobilizer and looks like he may be limited for a few games. Brown didn't play and looked a little tender on his left knee. Vaughn didn't play much either. Neither did Jeresaty who looks to be nursing a shoulder issue. Hinton wasn't dressed and neither was Watson.
Bottom Line: We are banged up. Mostly the 2nds and 3rds played.
Newman looked sharp.
Gardner, Arman and Campbell on the OL look good, as does Suggs and Lovelace. Mosley can scoot and has a nice arm.
Preister is the real deal. And Contee (a very large young man) and Lufkin will help us too. I am impressed by Beckley at OLB. Beckett sure passes the eye test.
We have 2 weeks to get healthy and focus on FU.

Shanesy's blog implies that this was kind of like a preseason NFL game in which the starters get a breather and the new guys prove their guts.

Given what happened last year with Evan Jacks, I wonder if this demonstrates our depth or if this was just a risk management thing. I could well be both.

Ruck, checked some of Beckley's film. Great smarts, quickness, and instincts; could be a real catch.

Do you think Corey Cooper, whom the coaches obviously think highly of, will redshirt this year, with three other excellent QBs ahead of him?

We came into the scrimmage banged up. This was a look at the 2/3/4 deep chart guys. Everything is about getting healthy for the start to the season. Coach knows what we have. Time to focus on Furman.
