The schedule is not unfavorable. There is a lot of talent and experience on both sides of the ball. Perhaps most encouraging: there is a great sense of comaraderie and brotherhood among this group. They want to do their best for EACH OTHER. That is when great things can happen!

We just added two impressive QB's to the roster: Mosley (AFA transfer) and Cooper - both QB'd excellent HS teams. Also added Saylor, LB; Jacobs, OL; Stenger, OL; Traynham, wr; Duckworth, LB; Grove, wr; Moore, TE; Beckley, LB; Price, DL; Mina, kicker; and Gerber, TE (also QB).

Refer to post on page 6 in 2016 Prospects about Miller Mosley. very impressive, explosive. 40 time of 4.43 so he is actually faster (based on 40 time only though) than Newman (40 time of 4.48).

Jacobs and Moore can really help us too.

Yep Mosley is a great get. At first I was skeptical that he was the same player but it appears that he is the same. Very exciting to have him and Newman together for three years. And don't forget about Racke who is a fine player too. Don't know much about Cooper but he could also contribute. We now have four QBs for the next three years that should provide us with some exciting plays.

Mosley reunites with McPherson.

Cooper looks like a very good player as well - led a successful team in a tough league. Top student. http://www.ncsasports.org/football-recr ... y-cooper11
http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/corey-c ... efault.htm Listed as "athlete" too; could wind up as safety type.

Gerber, from Chapel Hill, could really help us at TE too - strong leadership experience and bloodlines.

Roster shows that some guys are also continuing to put on some heft. Hope it will not be forgotten that added quickness and technique are at least as important as added size, and that sometimes losing a few pounds may be called for.

ld I would like to add to your comment 'Roster shows that some guys are also continuing to put on some heft. Hope it will not be forgotten that added quickness and technique are at least as important as added size, and that sometimes losing a few pounds may be called for.' I compared players weights as they show now in the 2017 roster with their weight as they were as incoming Fr (2015 and 2016 classes). All players but two gained weight and some a lot more than others. The most notable are Miles Brown (34 lbs) and Justus Basinger (25 lbs). So let's hope that extra weight does not slow down MB. I can't imagine him getting any quicker even if he lost weight. Added weight should be just more muscle. That would make a player stronger but could it slow him down ? The two that lost are Mikel Horton (20 lbs) and Luke Carter (5 lbs). So I am assuming that Horton lost weight to improve his quickness and agility and it likely will turn out that way. And their weight in August will likely be different than what is now shown in the 2017 roster. Can't wait til Sept GO TERRIERS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Also I am excited to have Newman and Mosley together. They are both fast and athletic. Newman seems to have very good poise and leadership, two vitally important skills for a QB.

Just noticed this thread. Mosley joining the team is HUGE!! I remember coveting him for the 2016 class.

Thou shalt not covet, OG. But in this instance I think it's ok although we may have to get a ruling from Dungeon Joe.

It sounds like OG is merely rejoicing over the finding of something that once was lost, was blind but now sees...

With Goodson, Newman, Racke and Cooper it was already a good group but with the addition of Mosley we have an even better one. Athletic, fast, poised seem to apply to all of them although the three new guys have not proven themselves yet of course. Cant wait to see them in action. Sept is just around the corner.

Yes, I should explain. I coveted Mosley for Wofford in the same way that believers covet lost souls for Christ. He was blind, but now he sees. Hallelujah!
