Along with the cancellation of the Sam Houston State vs Richmond game there is this:

I was actually looking forward to seeing Chatty at full speed with a whole new coaching staff.

The Mocs have a transfer Nick Tiano from Mississippi State who is supposed to be capable. But I don't know any more about him. They also have two other guys but my guess is Tiano will be the starter for now.

I have heard that Tiano has been practicing with the first team all summer, as this suspension is not a last-minute surprise. Tiano is apparently more of a traditional pocket passer, and not a dual-threat type QB we saw at Chatty under Huesman. FBS transfers are always difficult to project. He obviously didn't transfer from the SEC because he had too much playing time.

It will be interesting to see what type of scheme Arth uses at Chatty.

I will never forget when Watson picked off that pass and how our side of the stadium exploded. It was such a tense night, with strong back and forth. Clearly the two best teams in the conference. And then BOOM we deflated them. I hate the Citadel, but I respect them and that's why it was so sweet (I imagine the feeling is mutual)

Chattanooga doesn't look good right now. I know that 1) it's only one game 2) Bennefield isn't on the field and 3) Jacksonville State is a good/great team but if they lose game without scoring a touchdown they have problems on offense. I did quick research, and losing to JSU by this margin would be the worst loss to an FCS foe since Huesman's first year. That would be bad because Chattanooga that year had a bare cupboard (didn't stop them from beating us when we were decimated) and the team they lost to made the playoffs. This year, they have a good nucleus of guys coming back. It's only one game, and again JSU is really good, but the "check engine" light has to be lit up right now

YT good point. Except I am not sure if JSU is as good as they are ranked but like you said it is only one game. Chatt intercepted inside 20 yd line and still only could get a FG. That is a bad sign for the Mocs. Also here is the link to the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWlthX_NDcw.

Game notes for FU http://athletics.wofford.edu/documents/ ... tes_17.pdf

Injury report only mentions the two Fr Omari Johnson and Kent Phelps which is not good but better than previous reports of other players being hurt - Miles Brown and Roo Daniels for instance and I know there were more but just cannot remember them. Three changes that I see to the 2 deep. R-Fr Chapman instead of McPherson at HB. B. Brown at ILB instead of Hinton (behind D. Wilson). Hope Hinton is still not banged up. Mosley is holder on special teams.
