NSD 2017

Only 3 weeks and two days until the big day. Looks like this class is starting fairly strong. But it has lost some steam with the Wilcox twins decommitting. However we still have a good chance of having one of our best classes.

So far this class looks good and like the last few years I like all of them equally. Several of them are fast - Moore, Phelps and Johnson. And others for their size are fast - Beckett and Wild. I put an asterisk by Cam Racke's name because all of his numbers are solid. He is fairly fast but not so much as Phelps. And his highlight video looks really good. Only thing about him that is unknown to me is his reaction to pressure and adverse conditions. If he is a leader and excels under pressure and can get his teammates to do their best then he could be a great Terrier. We still have three weeks to go and will get more commits before Feb 1 so this class is far from being complete.

GO TERRIERS !!!!!!!

Did not think this needed its own topic so I put it here. Not sure who this will benefit. http://www.pennlive.com/sports/index.ss ... ay_de.html

In the end, I think it's a bad thing. It makes recruiting even more of a gamble. Do you fill your slots in December, only to find out that you don't have enough openings when good players become available? Do you offer a player for the December round, or hold off until round 2 and hope there are equal or better players still available? You would have kids ready to sign before their fall semester grades are available. Would our admissions office allow that?

Yes, we lose a recruit now and then to a bigger program. But, these kids have one shot at recruiting and should pick wherever they fit best. I would rather have a kid back off his commitment than waste a year or two of our limited scholarships and transfer.

First 2 LOIs in today are QB Cam Racke and OT Elliott Campbell from Lugoff-Elgin (6'6" 260) who had initially verballed to FU last summer as I recall. So it begins....

There you go, Campbell is one we have not said much about til now, right? Promises to be an outstanding SHD lineman. Apparently decommitted from Furman 1-28. Pretty good basketball player too.

Signings are being posted on Twitter as they occur. Lots of good looking new signees. Looks like 11 so far. If you can get on Twitter and check out @woffordfootball you see the tweets.

Another QB would make be feel a lot better (at the very least depth-wise)...Other than that, I second Ruckus.
