Shout out to Brandon Goodson

Postby youngterrier on Sun Dec 04, 2016 1:48 am

He didn't have a great game tonight, sure, and he may be out for the rest of the season, pending on how long we stay in this thing (high ankle sprain).

With that said, Goodson has really grown as a QB this year. I know a lot of people like Joe Newman on here (and we can reserve praise for his performance going forward instead of using counterfactual speculation), but I don't think we get into the playoffs without Goodson being the guy this year.

So thanks #14 for your hard work and heart!

Totally agree, YT. He really stepped up and he has seemed to grow in the position. He has corrected his mistakes and plays under control, doing exactly what the coaches seem to ask. Great post.

Brandon grew as a QB and I give him credit for having a great season and leading the team to the playoffs. He has exceeded expectations and has done very well. That being said, I think we still make the playoffs if either Evan Jacks or Brad Butler was our guy...just my opinion. Especially Butler...he was looking very good before he got hurt. But I feel that our defense is the main reason we are where we are.

Brandon was tough a day nails all season long and deserves credit for manning the ship and remaining healthy, well relatively speaking, but for playing each week and leading us to this point. The kid has heart and moxy and
Stepped up when we needed him. Great kid. Awesome character. Now we need the same thing from young Joe Newman.......and I'm willing to bet we get it from him as well.

Smart talented competitor. Character and heart. Hope Brandon recovers as soon as possible. High ankle sprains can be tricky.

Hope Wahrby is ok and back soon. Heard it was an achilles thing.
