We play Youngstown State next week, as they took out third seeded Jacksonville State today. Any chance we can get that game at home at Gibbs?

Youngstown looks like a very good team, with a high-powered balanced offense. http://www.ysusports.com/sports/fball/2 ... 1203nzff5v

Very few people on Any Given Saturday think we'll host this game. I don't want the game to be in Ohio. I hope Mr. Richardson made a big bid in our behalf.

Oh well. We can win there too. It's just too bad I can't attend it live.

At least the game is Saturday and not that Friday night game. We beat a highly ranked Chattanooga team on the road, and we just beat a highly ranked Citadel team on the road. These guys are road warriors.

I guess having to play a lot of road playoff games is simply a drawback of being such a small school. The best way to prevent it is to earn a seed. But we definitely have what it takes to win anywhere...defense travels very well.

In that "all expenses paid" trip to Youngstown, do we think the NCAA will pay for our 60 plus to fly up there, or will we have to bus? The Accuweather long range forecast says a high of 31 and low of 15 with flurries. Well, we went out to Montana with weather a lot colder than that and took care of business. They say it's lovely this time of year in northern Ohio!

WoffordGrad94, great minds or something like that.............what I think is funny is that although we haven't played in inclimate weather all season, but for all intents and purposes, I think the weather helps us. Limits other teams passing ability and forced them to grind on the ground against us. And I don't care to say it, I simply don't see a team being able to beat us on the ground. I just don't see it. Show me a team that can operate but dominating our D line. Won't happen. The worse the weather, the better for us. We will grind Youngstowns head off. And win another slug fest. This team is built for this. I have yet to see a defense that is truly 2-3 deep across the board. I look out sometimes and realize we are in our 3rd deep players at many positions at any time of the game. That's part of what makes this defense so damn good. Also, that bodes very well for the future. All these kids are playing. And will have playoff experience going into next season.

I was especially pleased with the way we were running in complete D lines down the stretch to keep fresh players getting after the QB. YSU throws it around a lot more than Cit and we will need pressure on their QB. Their game with Jax St is still available on ESPN3 if anyone wants to take a look.
Youngstown St is coached by Bo Pelini, who is in his second year after being fired by Nebraska. He is, to say the least, a volatile guy who is a very good coach. He has seen it all, and they will be well prepared for us. They beat a JSU team that was regarded by many to be the team to beat in the southern part of the country. It'll be another tough game, and YSU is very glad to be at home.

We are not getting any love on AGS concerning our game with the Ice Birds.
Guess we can expect that. Heck not many folks outside of the Gold and black thought we would brag the bell hops. I like our chances of making the Final 4. I think we can make it to Frisco. And we would all love a rematch with the prairie bulls.
