We saw the throwback pass, and it kind of worked but I think doing creativity with the personnel sets would be more beneficial than trick plays.

The beef bone would be great, and I would think we have the talent on the DL to pull that off. Maybe even giving one of those guys a carry here and there to make the other team bite when we use the big guy as a blocker.

As for the throwback pass, it seems like that is played out. It was effective early in the season, but not so much now. I think we've used it enough that its on tape and the other side is minding it.

we've got a few trick plays in the arsenal (I'm thinking of the quick forward pass on a jet sweep that clemson/auburn does...we've done that this year I think).

Prepare to be surprised on saturday.

Also I don't like the throwback pass, I think that was the play we called for the first fumble against Citadel last time we played (zo went in motion before the snap)

Beef bone with Colton Clemmons toting the rock would be fun to see. Give
Me miles brown, Mikel Horton with Colton dotting the I. OH BOY!!!! Smash mouth football at its best. Run behind Anton and Ross Demmell and come out and say "WE ARE RUNNING IT RIGHT HERE.....STOP US".

That or throw the ball to the uncanny depth of great receivers we have for a triple option offense.

I'm good either way. I love this terrier team. So much heart and passion and emotion from this team. Unbreakable spirit.

I agree with 19. Put that beef in the backfield, especially in the red zone and dare the bellhops to stop it! There is no way they could. Our D line is huge and quick and with a head of steam running down field, Wow!

I am hoping and praying(even knowing Jesus doesn't care about football) we do some creative, unconventional things on Saturday.

Noticed today that the Citadel Game Notes depth chart looks like last week's chart. Datvious, Stewart and Gay are all listed as starting. Hope that is the case and they are as close to 100% as possible!!!

I imagine it would take nothing short of losing limb to keep some of these guys off the field Saturday. This is what they have been working so hard for since mid October

I certainly hope those guys are well and back in the lineup on Saturday also. Now lets take a look at predicting the outcome up in Chuck Town. Boy my stab at it last week really went in the toilet, big time. CSU didn't make it to 17 pts., and WOF just flat out sputtered. With a score on the blocked punt, the prediction would have been right on....oh well.
Here it goes, we'll limit their running game as always...me thinks not as well as the regular season game. I think they will try to dink & dunk us in the air, then try running to score. If WOF beats them to the punch hard and often early, they can get it done later. WOF 21 CID 17.........hate saying this.....the score could be reversed. One more time little dogs.....go get 'em!!!

They hate our guts. I went there on a bus once and we were all treated terribly in their stadium. But it's all because they respect us and are afraid of losing to us.

From reading some of their posts they think our players are cocky because they think we should've won the first game. They even go so far as to say that Ayers is afraid of the Citadel so he had Brandon Goodson and Jo Jo Tillery make cocky comments to motivate their teammates. Not sure what sort of koolaid they're serving in the barracks these days but if they truly believe that they might want to stay away from the live ammunition.

I really like the way this game is shaping up from an emotional stand point. Trash talk is my favorite :) Hope we can keep emotions in check and punch them in the mouth!!!

We have had a fun, intense rivalry with these guys at least since my days at Wofford. I still remember Shawn Graves saying he didn't want to go there and wear a monkey suit, and then going out and backing up his words by scoring the winning touchdown against them. And here's the truth about our Cadet friends...a lot of them act really tough, but in reality they love to dish it out but can't bear to take it. And I really don't like the way they treat people there under the guise of "hazing" and especially the way they once treated poor Shannon Faulkner. I really hope we end their season Saturday...ain't too many teams I'd rather beat.

The Citadel has a lot to be proud of, but if they could be bought for what they are really worth and then sold for what they think they are worth there would certainly be a sizable profit to be had. My take is that they feel that there is South Carolina and Clemson, and then them and Furman, and then everybody else. The success and respect that Wofford has earned since 2002 has surpassed both the Bulldogs and Paladins and they have a problem with that. The response we are seeing is one of false bravado and deflection. They know they were lucky to win last time and they fear our guys having an opportunity at them again. Wofford may lose this game tomorrow, but they've already won the mind game before the ball is even teed up.
