Ayers have them the ball in the 4th and said you can't score on us. And they didn't.

its okay I guess but did we really run the ball up the middle the last 6 snaps and gain a total of a couple yards?

Thank God for a strong D because not sure our OC could have done us any good.

Gotta say...we're depleted at linebacker (thankfully MA said Lincoln Stewart will be okay). With that in mind, I can't say I'm confident we can get out of Charleston next week with a win, though I could be wrong.

It's been a great year and this team has defied expectations. Any win henceforth is just gravy

Strike that last comment YT. We completely controlled citadel last time
We played just shot ourselves in the feet. I think Wofford is just plainly a better team than citadel. I think Charleston would have beaten citadel. And I think We beat El Cid.

We are not to be denied. Team full of heart, passion, determination and grit. Wofford willl ride again. Continuing proveing the naysayers wrong.

I hope you're right, I'm just moderating my expectations considering how depleted we are at linebacker and running back.

Like it or not, our OC did exactly what he needed to do to win.

I thought we could afford to be a little less conservative but hey 15 is greater than 14

It is interesting to me how much better our passing game is than is most times advertised. We have guys who flat out can catch the ball-OK, one giant drop today. But there have been some great catches this year. I hope we use that and spread The Citadel out-and then gash them on the inside.
CSU has proven they can beat the doormen regularly. It's now our turn to go down there and show them what this team can do.

I think we can beat anyone from here on out. More importantly, this team thinks that and is willing to do what is needed to prove it. We still have a lot of depth, amazingly ... right?

Ruckus, "Like it or not, our OC did exactly what he needed to do to win." I don't think that's a fair or accurate statement without our strong D. And our offence is fine, its play calling once again that sucks. We sent Long up the middle 3 times in a row and next possession similar plays with different players up the middle. (6 plays, up the middle, for a gain of maybe 2 yards?). I love our playbook and our style of offense, but I hold the position that the D is saving the OC from getting questioned.

You do realize you prefaced each of your arguments with the condition that our D is strong. Which is the whole point.
Our D IS strong thus the conservative "don't turn it over at any cost" strategy. Read MA's comments to the team at half quoted by Shanesy today. It was a strategic decision to to put it in the hands of our D to win the game after we had the lead. And they did.
As I said, agree or not, like or not, it worked and we won. If we didn't pull it out, then the strategy would definitely be questioned and appropriately so.

It's kinda meta to criticize the offense and then say that the offense isn't being criticized, but I digress.

The strategy for the final two possessions was certainly risky, but it worked and it demonstrated the confidence the coaches had in the players. I'll admit I didn't love it and I think it would have been better had we threw it on third and long, but beyond that, it worked (see: scoreboard)
