VMI

VMI is extremely dangerous. Although 3-7, they have played many good teams close, including losing by 10 to Citadel today, and to Mercer by 3 in overtime. We simply must bring our A game. Having just played an option team will be a big advantage for them.

Agree 100%. Terriers cannot overlook anybody. Their record does not indicate how good or bad they are. Focus and execute !!

Jaleel Green was injured and left and not sure if he returned. Anybody know his status ?

Looked like a hit in the back that injured him. It was not called.

Thom Henson was on the sidelines and said his shoulder was separated but popped back into place. He could have played again but evidently was not able. In so many ways it is amazing the depth of this year's team. We have played so much of this season without starters at the beginning of camp. If you put photos of all 22 of the projected starters on Aug 1 on the wall and then went game by game it would be frightening to see who was playing each game. Without knowing, I would think we AVERAGED 15-20% of the starters out per game. The number of true freshmen who started, let alone played, has got to be our greatest ever. If I can get over the poorly timed "go for it on fourth down" calls, I would say this may be the best coaching job ever by Wofford.

Saw Jaleel after the game. Looked in good spirits and said he was definitely playing next week. We will have to see. Usually depends on the degree of separation.
Horton went out with a shoulder injury but came back in later, Miles is pretty gimpy from last play at FU where someone fell into his leg, Watson was dressed but didn't play, and Miller was out. Ward and Clemons out with concussions.

Still say the hit on Jaleel was cheap shot. He was down when hit, and then went out of camera shot.

Should have been a flag. Hit in the back.

Will Cobb still be out? I also saw on Twitter that their second team QB went out yesterday.

I'm sure Mike Ayers has not forgotten 2002. Most of the players on the team were in elementary school in 2002 and may not realize why VMI is to be feared.

If we show up and play hard, we should win. If we look forward to selection Sunday, things may not go well.

Wofford will make a healthy leap into the Top 25 of every poll this week. Some we were already. Wofford is in the playoffs with a win over VMI. Pont blank period. Again, the woes from years past are just that, years past. It's clear cut that Wofford is a solid top 25 team. 2 losses to ranked opponents by a combined 5 points to which we outplayed both. And a loss to top 15 ole miss at the time. Significant win on the road at top 10 Chatt. Beat the Keydets for the exclamation point and gear up for the playoffs. The old days are done. It's a new day. And Wofford football is back. All things being considered, Wofford is the best team in the socon IMO. Took some pretty outlandish scenarios to even have the 2 losses we have.

Wofford is a major threat in these playoffs and if the seeds are anywhere close to what is being presented, hosting Richmond on the first round with a shot at citadel in round 2. SIGN ME UP PLEASE.......we will mess around and find ourselves in the quarters.

What a special group of young men that have come together as a family, - band of brothers to weather the storms of losing 2 QBs, 2 major factors on the defense in John Patterson and Michael Roach and have risen to the occasion. This group isn't done anywhere close.....we have plenty of work to do. VMI welcome to Gibbs to some real hungry little Terriers ready to legitimize this seasons journey.

Dequan is #68 and he played the whole game I thought. He was definitely not up to speed. I hope they all heal up by ST.

GO TERRIERS!!!

Amen, but that game was at their place which contributed. Wofford should win, but nothing is even remotely guaranteed. The Terriers need to treat this like a playoff game and win as impressively as possible, but even that just gives us a chance to be in the playoffs. Wofford controls its own eligibility, but the committee controls our destiny.

Game notes. http://sidearm.sites.s3.amazonaws.com/a ... tes_16.pdf

Must run the ball well and often, and hold onto it.

Play shutdown D.

Last regular season game for a very good group of seniors.

FOCUS, quietly and assuredly.
