I doubt next weekend will affect things too much unless some somebody pulls an upset......or we don't win of course.
We have got to take care of business on Saturday.
Now we see the power of the reputation and past performance in the polls. I am not surprised in the least. We will not get respect until we start beating people regularly again.
As for who would teams rather face, I am sure Chatty jumps out on tape as a formidable opponent with its stable of impressive athletes as may Samford. Citadel's records speaks for itself. We are not as impressive in the obvious categories. Just the way we like it.......

One of the FCS above us on Sagarin is 5-5; another is 6-5. That increases the chance we move up there IF we win.

On the other hand, when we started our slump 3 years ago, it took a long time for us to completely fall out of the polls.

Chatty only has two losses which presumably will change this weekend...all the horses havent run yet

Just can't see how a Chatty loss to Alabama will change their position too much if at all.
Nor a Cid loss to UNC. If Sammy loses to ETSU, certainly.

There will be 24 teams selected. Gonna be hard to kerp us out if we take care of business with VMI. Not sure the committee will even use the coaches poll etc...The NCAA has left us scratching our heads before. Still say we will be alright. They have a history of selecting opponents early more on geography and perceived cost savings that realative merit/seeding. Having us play number 1 seed jmu back in the day when we were relatively highly ranked, which was unfair to both us and JMU. (Btw the refs screwed us on that spot)

It's been 8 years and I am more bitter about that now than I was that day. There's no way Romero didn't pick up that first down.

Pretty interesting.. new FCS playoff bracket has us playing at home in the first round against Charleston Southern and 2nd round in Charleston vs El Cid if we win. Would love to see this...hope it plays out this way

Bama likely to take Chatt to the woodshed and perhaps move them below us. Cid may give the Heels some anxious moments, although Heels handled GT's option pretty easily recently. ETSU likely does not have much chance, but who knows.

Not even concerned. Wofford is a top 10 caliber team, only looses are "good' losses by a combined 5 points. Great win at Chatt. Wofford will host the first round unless getting shipped out west, either way, Wofford simply cannot be seeded correctly, someone gets the shaft when Wofford is in their bracket. I have full confidence in us that whatever bracket we get, we will be coming out of in the quarterfinals. We have the best run defense in the country, and our secondary has grown leaps and bounds over the season, and we are deep playing 2-3 deep across the board. Tell the committee to do their worst you only screw whatever bracket you put us in. Or be smart, and let us take care of our region and we will represent as we come out of it as well. Up to them how they play it.

Walliver, et al-

The Terriers' fate today is in the hands of these individuals: (the AD's of conferences with automatic qualifiers:)

- Brian Hutchinson, Morehead State; Pioneer League (Chairman)
- Chuck Burch, Gardner-Webb; Big South
- Richard Johnson, Wofford; Southern (!!!)
- Kyle Moats, Missouri State; Missouri Valley Football Conf.
- Nathan Pine, Holy Cross; Patriot League
- Mary Scarano, New Hampshire; Colonial Athletic Association
- Paul Schlickmann, Central Connecticut State; NEC
- Greg Seitz, Jacksonville State; Ohio Valley Conference
- Brad Teague, Central Arkansa; Southland
- Jeff Tingey, Idaho State; Big Sky

Found this listing thru the Sports Arsenal Network which seems to have a beat on all things FCS.
Very pleased that RJ is in-the-mix.

Curious to see if my property tax recipients, UNH Wildcats, are invited for a 13th consecutive tournament; 7-4 overall, 6-2 in the CAA; losses to James Madison and Albany in CAA. Beat Maine (@ME) yesterday to retain the coveted Musket trophy.

Tennessee Tech AD Mark Wilson was on the committee with RJ up until this year. He is a real friend to Wofford and a class act. Glad to see a few AD's from teams that will be in the mix. Greg Seitz of Jax St probably expects to get real close to the final. It will be interesting to see whether MEAC gets two in, and how that affects Sammy. Some folks at the national scene think Sammy will still get in. A&T and Richmond took big hits yesterday.
