Outstanding student, and bloodlines: dad was All American soccer player at UNC, where his mom ran track. Very well spoken.

I would be surprised if he is not strongly incentivized to go pro after this year. There appear to be a large number of marginal kickers and punters in the NFL at present.

I think it depends on his academic standing. He is a serious/good student and if he has completed his degree, he may seriously consider it. However, most kickers in the NFL are not drafted and if they are, they aren't drafted in early rounds or commanding serious money or guaranteed contracts (much less a kicker from Wofford). It is likely to be a crap shoot whether he makes a roster; thus the security from his diploma will likely be very important to him.

I wonder if the voters for this award were aware of the muffed punt? Still, he did make two very long FG's.

I agree with Ruckus. Punters and PK's are everywhere, and teams generally don't sign unproven ones for any length of time. Once they prove themselves it is different. It would be great if he could get a good deal, but that is a huge risk these days.
