[quote]Says he thinks we also have a commitment from Tanner Barnes of Hillcrest High (DE/OLB). Also, Tyreece Luther CB, Isaiah Walker DB, Mason Bernhardt TE/WR, and TJ Neal S/OLB. He is also hoping Nick Russo has committed too but no official word yet./quote]

Reiterating that Ruckus has not confirmed these commitments but is hoping that they are the commits that were secured over the weekend. WR Landon Parker, Mt Pleasant NC has apparently committed as well.

RB Isaiah Ifanse commits from state of Washington... 3 Star with 44 TDs...Gatorade Athlete of Year from Washington... Offers from Army Navy Air Force Montana St Idaho... Runs a 4.5... I think this kid is the real deal... I wonder how we got on this kid? Any idea?

IDK, but I will guess that Conklin, since he has ties in the NW part of the country--but it sounds good to me--

Top notch RB, inside and outside. https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/hig ... -the-year/

We have made some nice recent inroads into Ga. and Tenn., and I hope we can keep that up.

Some may recall that I have previously posted about ILB Connor Shugart from Spartanburg High School. I was surprised that we had not offered him (he has offers from Mercer and Furman among others). It seems the new staff has now given him a serious look. Not sure if he was offered but he visited over the weekend and was pictured on Twitter in a Wofford uniform and with Coach Conklin. Ruckus tweeted "Welcome to the Terrier Family" but I've seen no confirmation that he was offered or that he committed. If he was offered and he did commit, then we got a good one. I've watched him play for three years and he just has an instinct for the ball that is very rare. As a LB he single handedly won several games for SHS through interceptions, strip sack turnovers and several blocked punts. He's a solid student (dad is an MD locally) and a great character kid. Would make a great short haired dog. If anyone can confirm I'd appreciate it. Ruckus, you back on yet?

I hope it's true about Shugart. The previous staff may have missed on him, but not Ruckus. His "Welcome to the Terrier Family" tweets always signal a commitment.

We need Ruck back, PRONTO.

Shugart may have that Breitenstein quality: overlooked, but hellacious, competitor, leader, and player.

Top student.

Texting with Ruckus today for update on Shugart. He said he's not sure what Shugart is going to do yet as his status has not changed on Twitter. He has PWO status with SC. He was not on Wofford's hit list early because we were targeting Kalen Allen, but when Allen de-committed the coaching staff obviously went after Shugart. Hoping it's not too late.

Like a phoenix rising from the flames....
Thanks to DJ I am live again. Thought I was in an alternative universe there for a while. I could see y’all but you couldn’t see me. Bruce Willis made a movie about that I think.
Anyway, some recruiting updates:
RB Isaiah Ifanse from Wa. has us in his final group with Montana St. if we get him, this may be one of the best RB classes we have ever had.
Looks like we are finally on Connor Shugart (WTFan will rejoice) as he visited last weekend. He is sporting a number of FCS offers as well as a PWO offer from USC. Like 65 mentioned, the Kalen Allen decommit prolly put this in motion. I am not sure he has definitely committed but I have heard he really likes us.
I am told we have a commitment from S Isaiah Walker from Fleming Island Fla.
We are courting LS Corey Stringer from Newberry.
And I am told OL Nick Russo from New Jersey was on campus this weekend and he raised some eyebrows. A very large strong young man.
I also think we have some serious interest in DB Tyreece Luther Port Charlotte Fla. and Ath Michael Campbell Jr McIntosh Academy in Ga. I know TE Josh Lifson from Ky was on campus a few weeks ago but he had verbally committed to AFA so who knows if we swung him. TE/WR Mason Bernhardt from Ohio is pretty high on our board too.
if we get Ifanse and Shugart, we will have gotten the state POTY in Wa and Ky as well as a finalist in SC. Not too shabby.
Fingers firmly crossed.

Isaiah Walker, Tyreece Luther and Shamari Wingard. all of them are about the same size - 6' give or take and 175 lbs approx. and all are fast and athletic. we have over the past few years accumulated speedy and athletic RBs and DBs and they are no exception. and the other commits - Hogan, Greenlee, Ball, Fuller, Wood, Prince - are at the same level IMHO. high quality class so far [-o< [-o< [-o<
