FWIW - I fear we may have lost one our recruits from Tn. to another program. Hard to tell from social media, but don't be surprised if we have a MIA tomorrow from our commit list.

I hope it's Slayton Wild and NOT Elijah Brown!!! I bet that's just wishful thinking. :(

It's official. Elijah Brown flipped to Austin Peay. He was one of our first verbal commitments last summer.
Proves once again that you just never know until they sign the LOI.

Looks like we got a commitment from ol/dl, most likely dl Austin Lufkin from Maine. 6'3" 270. He is also a record setting shot putter on the track team. A big athletic commit!!! state defensive lineman of the year!

Thanks to Andy Kiah and his dad. Looks MA firmed him up in a visit last Friday, probably the plane trip Riase tweeted about.

Tough and athletic. Can play both ways, but will likely be DL. http://bangordailynews.com/2017/01/31/s ... hip-offer/
This should please TNHD, to have a northeastern stud on the roster.

I prefer the looks of Wild to Brown.

I prefer Wild to Brown. on paper that is but once on the field it might have been different. Brown might have flipped simply because he realized his chances of playing soon at LB were not good with the current roster - 14 LBs coming back assuming Patterson is. Also Wild seems to be relatively fast for a guy his size although I never found a 40 yd time for him. IMHO he would make a good TE that would be difficult to handle assuming he can catch.

Also I like Lufkin a lot. Fast, athletic for a guy his size. Just think about adding him to Brown, Horton and Vaughn. Those three guys are almost unstoppable but adding Lufkin just makes it even better. I hope the coaches let him play D and not O. He said he prefers D. Hopefully that is where he will play.

LD, LT, Ruck, Crabby, et al -

THANKS for the updates on the stellar signing day. Was watching this board with great interest while on vacation. Musings:
1. Impressive bunch of 19 "ballers"
2. Beyond psyched we have another New England SHD connection
3. an Ohio State alum sat next to me on flight home was most complimentary of President Samhat and Wofford; knew Nayef from his days at Kenyon College. Said the OL signee from Columbus, OH, comes from a strong program; should be a nice addition.
4. Vermont's Men's Lacrosse team was also aboard last night. They beat Furman and Mercer this weekend. A couple players knew all about the Terriers hoops team (i.e. "you guys are 1 of the popular mid majors") - said they saw our team bus and squad at Mercer's arena. Told them we won on last second shot. "Nice!'
5. How do we clone Eric Garcia?
6. Not to start a Hatfield and McCoys battle; but, the region will be ecstatic after "One More" win tonight. "Do Your Job!"

And if McGirt wins the Phoenix Open...OMG!
