I am hoping we have some pleasant surprises. That makes it more interesting. With 28 players leaving this year I assume we would need to recruit almost the same amount in order to maintain the same number of players. If that is true then we have more than 10 players yet to sign unless we have a lot of surprises on NSD. I was planning on picking a favorite but I cannot decide. Because I like too many of them about the same. Looking forward to NSD and many pleasant surprises.

We have apparently offered a preferred walk on spot to OLB Jaron Puckett from Ezell Harding Christian High School in Antioch Tn. 6'0 215 although looks smaller to me on film.

Thats funny about Puckett. I played against Ezell Harding in HS. Small school against some small competition/private school league as well. Not saying he can't be a good player but a little different than a 6A kid coming out of NE Atlanta/Gwinnett area.

Yeah, Puckett said we were "his first D1 offer."
This is one I had heard about some time ago from a former Terrier who had heard from a friend that we may or should have some interest in him. Another FB with impressive stats/resume from Watauga High in Boone. I hesitate to post what is being said about him because of the obvious comparisons and perhaps unfair expectations that come with all that, but it has been said that he is "Breitenstein 2.0."
FB Evan Suggs will be on campus this weekend. 6'0" 210. I can't find much more of his profile other than huge game stats in yards gained and TDs. He was named all conference and conference Defensive POY (so I suppose we could recruiting him as SS/OLB although I don't think so). From his highlights, he looks a tad taller and lighter than #7 did coming out of high school. But looks like a classic TO fullback more along the lines of Cid's Tyler Renew than EB or even LoLo. Needless to say, to be even mentioned in the same sentence as EB is enough for me because there won't be another EB in my book.

Good vision, nice feet in the hole, good balance and while not a burner, fast enough. Hope we get him.

I sent a link for Suggs up the line a few weeks ago. Hope we get him.

#7 jersey is available.

It needs to be retired at some point, but as long as it's our lucky number, I'm not in a hurry.

Agreed about the #7. Needs to join the #1 and #51 above the stadium. Wished we'd a had him this past season to go along with that defense. And no disrespect to Lorenzo intended. He was just one of a kind. That # has been good to the Terriers. Dan Tavani, EB and Long.

Suggs comes from fine coaching and a competitive 4A league. High powered offense. He, and his team, played tough against a Dudley team that was one of the best, biggest, and toughest in the land. He is a talent on both sides of the ball. Good frame. Would be a genuine SHD. Measuring up to EB (who was state 4A co-player of the year) is a challenge.

Looks like we have another kicker. John Dawson Henis from River Bluff High in Lexington has committed to be a Terrier.

Coach Riase posted on Twitter a picture of MA boarding a private jet to make a last push to some recruits. Anybody know where he was heading and who his audience may be?
