Nevermind Ruckus, I think I misread his tweet that he was at Wofford last weekend not that he committed. Oops. sure would like to get him though

CB Donavan Anderson from Boiling Springs has now announced his verbal commitment to us.
That makes 13 verbals not including the Wilcox twins or a few other DLs we have offered.
This will likely be a large class.

So how many more do we need to fill it up ? I thought we were almost finished with four or five more to go. A QB, 2 DLs and a LB. It would be nice to have a surprise too.

Been waiting on something like this. Ga State (Fuqua) offered Dutch Fork DL Malik Sumter today.

This is just part of the deal. Sumter may have already been on their radar, or maybe Fuqua knew he was a legit talent and wanted him there. Either way, if nothing else, it shows that we are fishing in the right pond. A team of mid-level Sun Belt talent would do very well in the SoCon and we all know it. If this becomes a trend, then I will have a problem with it, but for now I will chalk it up to the recruiting game.

I would normally agree with this, as long as Fuqua was not involved in any way with recruiting this kid.

GO TERRIERS!!!

It's dog eat dog in the recruiting game. I'd be shocked if he didn't.
Want to keep our coaches in place and prevent this from happening? Pay them more.

Interesting side-line.....the Power 5 conferences have voted (again) to disallow off campus "recruiting" practices. Look like Michigan will have to raise the coaching travel fund to stay in the race........just sayin'!

We appear to be doing well. Every year we get some very good players on NSD who were not discussed on this board. I expect that will be the case this year as well; look forward to pleasant surprises!
