May as well start it with a big one: QB Riley Lees of Libertyville High (Ill) and brother former Terrier Sean Lees has now been officially offered. 6'0" 185. Runs a reported 4.46 40.

And so it begins...

Lees looks like a great one and has some Terrier history in his family. It might be a stretch over Big 10 and ACC teams, but if you don't ask, the answer is always "no".

If he wants to play QB, his options will be in our ballpark. Not so much if he doesn't care where he plays, e.g. RB or DB.
First and early offers mean a lot to some kids. I like our chances.

Let's hope Sean has some influence on his younger brother. This would be a very nice addition to the '16 class. I like the quote in the article that said something like Riley tries to make a big play on every play not just get 5 yards. The key for him seemed to be his positive outlook and his confidence in himself to be able to make a big play on every play. He would be a game changer with his physical skills but also with his positive attitude. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I had a chance to meet his folks in Montana during our playoff appearance there. They are very nice down to earth types and fans of Wofford. I could see them in favor of Riley following his brother to Wofford. Zotto was from this high school too, which could help.

Update on Riley Lees: in recent days, he has been offered by Ball State and Army. I suspect Army offered him as a QB but I don't know about Ball State.

Add Western Michigan to the Lees offer list. It will only get longer. Will be surprised if we steal him away from the bigger programs.

....looking less and less likely unless he has other football ambitions past college or his brother and mother influence him

LB Alex Purviance from Reagan High in Pfafftown N.C. (6'2" 210) visited us today. Looks like prototypical Wofford ILB. Nice film.

Reagan is a relatively new school that has really built great sports programs. They also have attracted good kids and have good academics. I've lost a lot of my contacts, but will check him out. I still have a sports writer friend who tipped me on EB about 7 years ago. He still shakes his head at the ASU ball dropping!
