Able was homesick, girlfriend back home he was going back to see a couple of times a month, tough putting on 20-25 pounds...the normal reasons they leave.

Could be some truth to that about a coach. Notice a coach missing from the 2016 coaches clinic invites

It appears we are about to sign an excellent class. With the experienced (and healthy) talent we have returning, we should enter next season with great momentum.

Now that I look at his Twitter I can say it:

I didn't want to confirm this until NSD was done, but the coaching rumor is true. ShaDon Brown safeties coach is going to Army to be their CB's coach. He recruited Chris and coached him the first 2 years, so he was my favorite. I hate to see him go. He and Fuqua are close and it was like having another DC.

Yep. Awaiting official word from Wofford before going into more detail and discussion.

19 ShaDon has already announced it on Twitter, so it's now fair game to talk about.

Though I did not know him, it always appeared ShaDon had a lot of enthusiasm and energy for Wofford and his job and players. He also seemed to be a good recruiter. He will be sorely missed. Best wishes to him.

We will need to treat this as an opportunity to excel and get someone really talented for this important job . We seem to have a lot of talent at DB right now and they deserve to be taught the right way.

Our current CB coach, Mance is excellent! Being a former FBS corner, there are some techniques he'll put in during spring that I know I and my SHD are certainly looking forward to, as it should use his skill set in a very productive way.

I hope I'm allowed to say this now, but I think it's fairly common knowledge that there were times this past season Coach Brown wasn't around, I was asked many times. He was not at games or practice for 5 weeks in the middle part of the season. It was for a very personal reason for him so I am not going to say it here, but it was nothing crazy or any kind of trouble. But think about that, the team didn't have a key defensive coach for 5 weeks during the season. It also meant we had Coach Mance who was still new himself coaching both corners AND safeties, smack dab in the middle of the season, plus lose Nick Ward at the same time.

Makes 5-6 record and near wins v UTC and WCU all the more amazing. We need all oars in the water to even have a fair chance to win and that includes our coaching staff.

TnT2, so glad to hear about Mance and related circumstances. I loved his credentials when he joined our team. I am really excited to see the SHD's in action this fall, especially the defense and pass defense in particular.
