Do we have a commitment from a Texas DT?

Not that I know of. Didn't even know we were recruiting anyone out of Texas this year.

Check that. It appears we have/had interest in Kaleb Nunez TE/DE/OLB out of Lee HS in Midland Tx. However it appears he has announced his commitment to AFA as of 12/19.

Our recruiting weekends start this Friday. Looks like OL Ronnie Brooks from DC area, for one, will be on campus.

We enter a new year, and move toward signing day and replenishing our larder of conscientious and talented student athletes. And we have a lot of talent and experience returning. It will be fun to see what late happy surprises we get, a la Miles Brown.

Allow me to offer this, to get the "blood up" a little (Ruck, this one's for you).

I could watch it over and over again.
Apparently, Hartsville LB Datavious Wilson had a very productive Shrine Bowl and caught the eye of some larger schools. They were impressed with his physicality. Some are predicting he won't stay in our fold by signing day.

JaVaughn Craig just announced his top 3

1 Jacksonville State
2 US Naval Academy
3 WoCo

"In no Particular order" he said

Would be a good option to have in open space. Has size and rather shifty.

It surprises and almost shocks me that JaVaughn Craig does not have the Mocs in his top 3. That seems like a very good sign for the Terriers.

Also I just saw that Terrier commit Blake Morgan had offers from Army, Navy, Georgia State and Cincinnati. impressive company !!

So we have a chance to sign both Newman AND Craig? Hard to believe that could possibly happen.
And if it does, what do we do with both of them?
Hope we don't screw it up and lose both.

Quarderman Sloan, senior RB on Newman's team, has had a great year; reminds me of Ray Smith. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1782026/quarderman-sloan

I could see us taking 2 QB's this year due to the attrition at the position next season and last year. JaVaughn I could see playing at WR because of his size and
and ability to create plays in space. I dont see him on the defensive side of the ball. As I stated before we lack home run threats on offense, and those 2 could make an immediate impact

WR and FS. 6-2, 190, 3.6 GPA, strong winning program. Good basketball player and citizen. Excellent size, deceptive speed (4.52 40). Jamaican background (not far from Tim Duncan). Offers from Navy and Army and Morehead State. Like a lot. http://www.newsnet5.com/sports/local-sp ... f-the-week

We may have some interest in OL/DL Joseph Linder of Blacksburg Hugh (6'3" 290 5.0 40). Nickname is "Big Perm". Prolly an OL for us. Athletic local big guy; overlooked.

Wow- really looks big. Looks like he could use some of the weight and agility training available. Good O Line prospect.
