We are still respected

Postby youngterrier on Mon Jan 25, 2010 7:22 pm

Though I think the expectations of this site on next years team is lower I'd like to inform the good people of this board that among fans of the socon we are very much respected. Though preseason polls mean absolutely nothing many well various educated, FCS loving fans of the Socon on CS.com (AGS has been shut down) have picked us to be in the top 3 of the Socon

While I expect we will better than this year, I like our role as the underdog and the motivation it provides.
Does anyone have any injury/rehab updates for the many walking wounded? Also, did we lose anyone to attrition over holidays? Is everyone back at school?

Unpaid invoices will get you every time.

I hate to see that, but the general attitude over there ran me off long ago, so I can't say I am surprised. They had a great thing going, but political correctness did the place in.

I agree that we will be an upper half SoCon team next year. A playoff run might be in the cards, but a lot plays into that sort of thing that can't be controlled solely by hard work. I could see a finish somewhere between 2-4 though, but it will be tough because no one is really going backwards right now and some of the traditionally weaker programs are making strides (Chattanooga and Western Carolina).

I'd go to Championshipsubdivision.com, just like AGS was before.

I used to visit AGS several times a day, but hadn't visited in about 6 months. The board seemed to lose its character over time and I lost interest... I guess a lot of other people did likewise.
