I would usually say Furman, but I would love to beat Spurrier. That would be the greatest day ever.

A victory over Visorboy would be sweet (see Furman in '82 and Citadel in '90 (?)). However, losing to Furman in anything makes me physically ill. You think I am joking. I can live without beating USC, but one more loss to the Purple Pukes from Emory Univ.-North a/k/a The University of Atlanta at Greenville and I will keel over and die.

To me, there is a football list and a basketball list and while some are on both, they are somewhat different. Here's my take:

FOOTBALL
1. Furman - They are too close, too cocky, and have had too many wins over Wofford.
2. Georgia Southern - I'd love to see Van Gorder start where Sewak left off, losing to Wofford.
3. South Carolina - I don't like Spurrier and winning this game is the only way Wofford will make SportsCenter.
4. Appalachian - Knocking off the defending champs would great
5. Western Carolina - Last year's shutout must be avenged.

BASKETBALL
1. Furman - See above.
2. Davidson - They don't deserve to be in the conference if they play football and aren't will to play a conference schedule.
3. Charleston - Upstate vs. Lowcountry, plus, Wofford has been close a lot in recent years with only a few cigars.
4. Clemson - Way too many Wofford injuries and close calls against the Tigers in recent years.
5. South Carolina - Serious lack of class. Shooting 3's with under 2:00 left in a 30 point rout. Payback's a b#tch.

I see people mention baketbll or whatever this time every year but I have no idea what they are talking about... 8)

Miss you on AGS, EOM.

I have to laugh at the answers here. I remember being in the press box and reporting on the Wofford v. Furman drench game a few years back when almost simultaneously Hunter and Cohen mentioned that this was a rematch of the first game in SC history. I chuckled "I know" but I could see in their eyes that I really DIDN'T KNOW.

Ralph,
I know, I'll be back. I'm down to one computer and my wife monopolizes it. Go figure. Anyway, I'll get back active on AGS soon. I guess I've just gotten lazy.
