Great Ruck, thanks! Can you shoot me your email, at my email above please.

Coach Bohl's remarks about us and Mizzou: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxYre9Y1yNE

Factoid: the Heisman hopeful Mo. QB Bohl references, Drew Lock, is a guy we recruited pretty hard for basketball.

U. Of Wy. has its game notes up for us; ours are not yet up, that I can see. Wyoming has played two other S.C. teams; they beat Furman by 7 and Cid by 4 in recent years, both in Laramie. They beat GWU here 27-0, last year I think. Bohl’s overall record is very good, primarily at ND State. He and his staff are experienced and systematic ... not their first rodeo. They will be prepared; so shall we be. U. Of Mo. was tough and physical on them and they really want a win. On Friday we will acclimate to Laramie altitude conditions.

Their notes about us are brief but complimentary. We match up well, in my view. Our talent and experience levels are good. They will try to wear us down, with their superior FBS head count. We must chin up and stay fresh. They clearly prefer to run it and have some good backs and OLs. They can pass too but are less experienced there. Their D and O will come hard at us, and we must play with our usual confidence, resolve, and execution. No quit.

Beware the Short Haired Dogs.

Their fan board worth a look, WyoNation.com - forum. Good short interview with Shanesy, and you will like the interview with their stalwart db Wingard.

Their OL looks big but

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.

Let's hear from the folks out in Wyoming! Eager to know whether the locals have any interest in the game and how they feel about playing a little bitty school in the path of a storm.

The Lawdog, Littlegiants, Crabby, and Ruckus crews all had a great dinner last night in Laramie. A good time was had by all.
Yesterday, LD and the Mrs took a nice hike while LG, BKnecht (an adopted Terrier from the Shenandoah Valley) and I played a little golf at the UWyo Course (we missed you, Boulder). Toured Laramie a little and got to sneak on the playing surface of the War Memorial stadium. Been watching 5 mule deer a mere hundred yards behind our hotel this morning (one was big buck (5 by 5)). Different world. Nice folks. Curious about Wofford and more than a little amused we traveled all this way to see our little team play. Lots of questions like are we division 2, where is wofford, and are we in the path of the hurricane. They fully expect to win but they also lament there 2 losses and say they aren’t that good.
UW is a pretty school with great cowboy, cowgirl and Indian statues dotted around. Athletic facilities are all brand new and top notch. Gorgeous new basketball arena. Saw the equipment team yesterday after they got in. Everybody is ready to go. FYI - miles brown did not make the trip. Altitude will be an issue for us (8,000 feet above sea level) so depth is an issue. It is unseasonably warm here (mid 80s) and very arid dry air which makes altitude issue worse re hydration. Looking for a good competitive game. If we can hang in and keep it close, who knows.

Shanesy has a good article about Coach Conklin and his Wyoming background, on the wyo fan board.

Ruck has it right: having a grand time in Laramie. Good food, friendly folks, and beautiful country.

I like our chances ... need to avoid mistakes and do what we do. Stay fresh and focused, no fear in the heart of the Short Haired Dog.

Sorry about the ones not playing. Altitude sickness is no joke. Playing golf out there probably a lot better than around here! We'll be tuned in!!
