Just noticed Ostin McPherson not on roster. Anyone know why?

I know nothing firsthand but I have heard rumblings that he and Chapman didn’t like Romero. Also I have heard McPherson had some minor disciplinary issues (late to meetings, missing workouts etc.).
Bottom line: he didn’t want to be a Terrier any longer and chose to leave. Same for Chapman.

Too bad. Thought both showed promise. Fortunately we have some other talented backups.

It seems like that was posted somewhere in the Spring about McPherson leaving as I wondered how that would affect Mosley since they were HS teammates. He and Chapman may also have looked at another season behind McAfee and Morgan and known that PT was probably limited and decide to go elsewhere. I think Chapman ended up somewhere in TN if I am not mistaken.

Good recall Adog7. I went back to Feb. 2018 and saw where Ruck stated that McPherson and Chapman were leaving.

With that, I’d say Prince, Ball, Van Cleave, Broussard, Walker, Neal, Barnes, and Abercrombie are the most likely to see early opportunities for PT. But I think especially now with the coaching change, the most productive players will play so whoever impresses will get their chance.
So, who else in this class will impress enough to get PT? My money is on Luther; and dark horses Hogan and maybe Russo. That left side of the OL is not yet cemented and if they come in with a grasp of concepts/schemes early they could earn some time.

RSF's Craig, Campbell, and Phelps could make substantial contributions, given their red shirt year of experience and maturation. Zamary, with all his experience, could break out this year and provide important senior leadership. Also love what Brown is saying, that in the end it is up to the players.

Phelps I have heard is done with a career ending shoulder injury.
Campbell is competing for LT spot.
Craig I think is backing up Phelps and Burger at RT.
