TS wrote a blog about how Coach Ayers feels about our teams chances the rest of the year. This makes me feel a lot better. He's coached enough football to know what he is talking about.

“We’re a team that’s awful close to being awful good,” Ayers said Monday. “If we get the same effort in the next 10 ball games as we had Saturday night, we’ll be all right. I think we’ll be competing for a championship, the playoffs and the whole shootin’ match.”

“You take away the turnovers, we win the game. It’s as simple as that,” Ayers said. “I thought we outplayed them for the most part. … It was interesting that even with three turnovers, late in the game we still had a chance to win it. There’s a lot of be said about that. You’re playing up in the level of ball, you’re playing against a lot of starters from a division champion in the Mid-American Conference. We played a good football team and we played extremely well.”

The only problem is that I think sometimes he forgets that the other team turns the ball over too. What would the score have been if Ohio didn't have those 2 turnovers. We lost the turnover battle 3-2.

Go Terriers!

Doc- you guys were great, and thanks for being the hostest with the mostest. Enjoyed the history lesson on the walk down to the stadium, and the tailgate section along the riverbank was spectacular. You put Michigan fans to shame. The stadium was perfect for a "True Fan", as I got to walk along side the ball and just grab a seat. The hill was cool, and I was there when he made the catch for a TD but the referee saw it different. Hope you guys can take it to Ohio State, and if one of my kids ends up being scholarship material, I will recommend the jewel in the Ohio Valley. I got your number so expect a call, sir.
By that reasoning, WoCo's QBs should have the highest QB rating in conference. I mean, if we fumble once a game (or even two or three times) then our percentage is really high given the number of successful pitches made. Sounds good to me.
